Can a dissolved business do business?

I paid for work on my house and discovered that the company dissolved in February. Therefore the guarantee – which hasn’t arrived – wouldn’t be valid would it?  Is this not fraud?

If the value of the guarantee justifies it, you should take advice from a solicitor here. The dissolution of a company is not, in itself, fraudulent. However, depending upon all the facts, this could be a case of wrongful trading or perhaps even fraudulent trading.
