MAPPA non disclosure agreement

Hi I wonder if you could answer a question for me please.

I signed a non disclosure agreement relating to a convicted paedophile who is on the sex offenders register. The document only has my signature and date on it and nothing else. It wasn’t witnessed even though there’s a space for a witness to sign. Is this document legally binding please?

Kind Regards

Alasdair Taylor's Answer

In English law, a contract – including an NDA – may be enforceable without signatures being witnessed.

To judge whether this particular contract is enforceable, however, a lawyer would want to look at the contract itself and also gather more information about the circumstances in which it was created.
