In legal proceedings we request in road traffic accidents details of the driver, the insurance company insure under s35(2) of the DPA – can we request the same info under the GDPR?

As with much else, the position in relation to this type of data processing has changed somewhat under the GDPR. I’d need to do a little research to answer your question here, but unfortunately I don’t right now have the time available to do that.
