Signing for goods

My employer went bankrupt and I signed for goods and I am being pursued by the company to pay for these goods.

In the ordinary course of events, the purpose of signing upon receipt of goods evidential.  It wouldn’t usually create any obligation upon the individual to pay for the goods. If you have a copy of the document that you signed, you should check to see if it says anything different.
